Need to Know for the week of October 16, 2016

November 6th will be the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. In some parts of the world it is dangerous to be Christian. Statistics show that 100 Million Christians face persecution daily. In many countries Christians are imprisoned, tortured, harassed, beaten, even killed for their faith. What can we do? One thing for sure, we can pray. Set this day apart to pray for our brothers and sisters enduring persecution! PRAY! Also be praying for Pastor Stu as he is leaving for his missions trip to Africa.

If you pre-ordered a shirt, you can pick it up after today’s service. You will need to pay when you pick up your shirt. You can also purchase a copy of the Ripples of Grace DVD. If you didn’t pre-order you can purchase yours today.  Please help support our efforts to build a clean water well in Mali, Africa where Pastor Stu will be visiting on a mission trip this week.

We are starting a new series on October 30th called, Supernatural.  This series is all about what the Bible says on the subject of angels, demons, the devil, the Holy Spirit. Utilize the invite cards in your seat to invite a friend to church with you.  You can also grab a packet of cards on your way out today, if you decide to do some reverse trick or treating, or if you want to set up a hot coffee station outside of your house and invite people to church.

Our Kidzone ministry will be participating in Operation Christmas Child shoebox this holiday season. This is a great opportunity to teach and get our kids involved in learning about missions. We have a goal of 300 boxes as a church. We will need your help in reaching this goal. You can pick up your shoebox(s) at the Kidzone/Nursery check-in stations, at each campus. You can also go to samaritan’s website at and click on the ‘operation Christmas Child shoebox’ box.  There you can learn more about how and what to pack in your shoebox. There is a suggested $7 donation (to help cover shipping cost) per shoebox.  Any questions please contact your campus Kidzone leader for more information.

If you’re interested in serving the Lord by cleaning your campus, please let us know on your connection card.  We are looking for people to either vacuum and sweep the foyers/sanctuaries, clean the bathrooms, or help keep the kids areas clean.  Many hands make light work.

For those interested in membership, there will be a meeting immediately following the 10:45 AM service on October 30th and November 6th.  You only have to attend one of these meetings.  Before attending be sure to watch all of the prerequisite videos and fill out the membership packet.  Videos and packets can be found online at
