If there is a lesson to be learned from the royal official whose son was healed by Jesus, it’s this: if you want to witness God’s power in your life, sometimes you’ve got to go way out of your way to experience it…maybe even 20 miles out of your way! Remember, God has you right where He wants you—even if that’s not where you want to be. You go no where by accident. He always has a purpose, including the very season/situation you’re in right now…but if you’re willing to trust Him; if you’re willing to burn some calories; if you’re willing to walk some miles, then He can take something that you would never want to go through and bring about His good in your life.
