Judah was a drunk, David, an adulterer and a murderer, Rahab, a prostitute, Ruth, a foreigner. Jesus' family line reveals two things; one, God can redeem anyone and use anyone despite a checkered past, and two, the Gospel is for the wounded, weak, wayward, and worn out.
